Holiday Gift Guide: For Him
November 28, 2012 § 1 Comment
I love shopping for the men on my gift list because it gives me an opportunity to look at items I would otherwise pass by. Plus, what guy buys himself a quality sweater? Now is the time to get him those things which he won’t get himself.

Today I wore my all time favorite wooly sweater (love the little lace up in the front). It’s my go-to in the colder months. Paired with a coated burgundy jean, and booties it’s a simple outfit that is still put together.

Vamp Nails

I used Essie’s Ballet Slippers as a base, put paper hole reinforcers on the bottom of the nails, and then painted the upper part of the nails with Essie’s Bordeaux. Easy and fun fall reverse french!
Winter Welcoming

I typically enjoy reading mostly non-fiction books (I’m a little weird), but I’m going to have to read “The Casual Vacancy” because with the author being J.K. Rowling I’m confident that it’ll be a read I can’t put down. Perfect for a cold day cuddled up in a thick sweater and with these scrumptious Sea Salt Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies (I made them yesterday and they’re out of this world).
I’m against celebrating the Christmas season before Thanksgiving has passed (although, be prepared to see it in full swing in these parts hours after the turkey has been carved) but there’s no reason not to celebrate the coming of the winter season. The snow and cold isn’t going anywhere, so we might as well find ways to enjoy it!
P.S. I included the picture of Seal and Klum because of it showing winter wonderland fun, but also because I’m still upset that they aren’t together.

Camo Craze

I’ve always thought that camo is excessively tacky, and I would never wear it. However, I’ve been seeing it creep into stores and I can’t deny that I’m starting to become a big fan. I can see it taking the place that leopard print has held recently as a “of the moment” print. In fact, these camo/leopard print loafers are the perfect combination of the two!
